What is Film Geek Time Machine???
In this podcast, your host Austin Kennedy has accidentally stumbled upon a time machine. Being the major film geek that he is, he has decided to use the time machine to go back in time to various different dates throughout the history of film and have movie marathons at movie theaters in the past. Austin asked his buddy Tim Kizer to join him on his adventures back in time to a place where you didn't have to reserve your seat, you didn't have to worry about people texting during the movie, the seats didn't recline, and there wasn't any stadium seating. Austin and Tim are doing it old school!

This is how they do it: Before each episode, Austin and Tim pick a random day, month, and year from random.org, then proceed to go to newspapers.com to look at what movies were showing on that exact date. Then they each pick a few movies to watch. The rule is at least one of the films has to be one they haven't seen. After they pick the films, they look at the movie times to see if they can see them all in one day. Then using Austin's time machine, they travel back in time to the chosen date. Usually starting around noon, and then going until sometimes after midnight, Austin and Tim will have a movie marathon watching 5-7 movies. Then after they are done, they travel back to the present to record the podcast episode, usually taking a couple of days to recoup before the recording.

Austin and Tim hope people will enjoy the stories of their travels and hearing about all different kinds of films. THIS IS FILM GEEK TIME MACHINE!!!
